It is full of interesting and quirky characters and just the right amount of intrigue along with a budding romance. I think this is the perfect time to enjoy a book like At Home in Mitford. Many (most?) of us are under a lot of stress right now due to the pandemic and its associated effects. It was a stressful time and this sweet and gentle story was a comfort. I was working as a hospice nurse at the time and spent a lot of time on the road. I had a copy of the book but ended up borrowing the audio version from the public library so I could listen in the car.
